Like every event I plan, I make sure every detail matters. From the welcome setup to the lighting gear, the Creatively Workshop is designed to give women entrepreneurs practical tools, real guidance, and clarity about how to create content that works. I hosted a private edition with three attendees: Erin, Liz, and Karen. My workshops are intentionally small and personalized, so you’ll never feel lost or on your own.

From the beginning, it was clear that Erin came ready to learn and apply everything. She brought a full selection of her pieces, which became our main example set for the day. We used her jewelry to demonstrate lighting, backgrounds, and styling throughout the session — and the results were amazing.

We started the day by introducing ourselves over coffee, fruit, and muffins. Then I projected visual references on the TV to explain some basic photography theory — my style, how I find the light, examples of angles and composition techniques I use with my clients. After each point, I showed live demos so they could see exactly how I approach it.

Once we wrapped up the theory, we moved straight into building photo setups. I guided them through selecting the right background, placing the product, controlling natural light with reflectors, and understanding how to manage shadow and texture. Each of them set up their own flatlay scene with one-on-one guidance from me the entire time.

Then came the part where things really got fun — composition. We talked about how to apply the rule of thirds and visual balance, and they each created multiple styled scenes using the tools I provided. It was hands-on from beginning to end.
I’ve worked with women entrepreneurs for over 5 years — photographers, coaches, bakers, caterers, jewelry designers, spas, wellness brands — and nearly all of them have faced the same challenge:“I want to grow, but I don’t know how to create content that actually works.”

To close, we edited a few images directly on their phones, tested how filters affect tone and branding, and talked about how to keep a consistent look across their feeds. Before saying goodbye, we had an open conversation about our businesses and shared advice with one another. It was a productive afternoon, and honestly, time flew by.

At the end of the day, they left with new skills, photos ready to post, and a better understanding of how to show up online with intention.
