Earlier this month, I had the chance to photograph a project that blends creativity with purpose — and honors a cause that matters deeply to all of us.

Gabriela Ochoa, founder of Ilili Honduras, leads impactful marine conservation efforts across the Bay Islands. Through research, education, and community-driven action, ilili works to protect coral reefs and ocean ecosystems in Honduras.

To celebrate World Oceans Day (June 8), Ilili partnered with jewelry designer Erin Siegel to release a limited-edition marine-inspired jewelry collection. Each piece — from golden seashells to starfish charms — is designed to raise awareness and directly support ilili’s mission.

I was invited to document this collaboration through a beachside photo session with Gaby and Erin, capturing the details of the jewelry and the spirit of the project. These images are now part of ilili’s website and campaign to raise awareness and drive support.

This collaboration is a reminder that beauty and impact can go hand in hand — and I’m proud to have contributed to a campaign that gives back to the ocean.
