thEre is something completely different
about documenting a wellness experience when you already understand the practice happening in front of you.
Recently, I had the opportunity to photograph and film Daniel Silva of O2Flo during the Ultimate Wellness Conference at Faena Forum in Miami Beach, creating both photo and video content around an immersive breathwork experience centered on movement, conscious breathing, nervous system regulation, and meditation.
Daniel opened the session with somatic movement and Bellows Breath, gradually guiding the room through practices including Three Part Breath, Kapalabhati, Box Breathing, and intentional breath holds. Throughout the experience, he also shared his personal journey into breathwork and how years of practice eventually led him to teach and share it with others.
I first met Daniel at OM Movement in Miami during my Yoga Teacher Training, where he led an extended breathwork workshop for our group. I immediately connected with both the practice and his approach to teaching. In the months that followed, I continued attending his breathwork and meditation classes and recently completed my Level 1 Breathwork Certification with Daniel through O2Flo.
That personal connection gave me a different perspective while documenting this event. Although I joined briefly for Kapalabhati and a few minutes of meditation, my primary role that evening was behind the camera as Daniel’s photographer and filmmaker. My intention was to capture more than the techniques themselves. Through both photography and film, I wanted to preserve the energy of the room, the movement, the stillness between breaths, and the connection Daniel creates with the people he teaches.
For me, wellness photography and filmmaking are about understanding what deserves to be documented without interrupting the experience itself. Breathwork, yoga, meditation, retreats, workshops, and wellness events require a different kind of visual awareness. Some of the strongest moments are subtle: a breath being held, a body beginning to soften, a teacher observing the room, or an entire group moving together with intention.
As a Miami wellness photographer, filmmaker, yoga teacher, and breathwork facilitator, I approach these spaces from within the practice rather than simply observing from the outside. My goal is to create refined, editorial imagery and films that still preserve the authenticity of the experience.
wellness event photography and filmmaking in miami
I create photography and film for wellness events, yoga teachers, breathwork facilitators, retreats, workshops, movement professionals, and wellness brands throughout Miami and Miami Beach. Whether the experience takes place inside a studio, at a private gathering, or at a larger event like the Ultimate Wellness Conference at Faena Forum, my approach combines thoughtful visual direction with natural storytelling to capture the human experience behind the practice.
Because the best wellness content should not simply show what happened. It should make you feel what it was like to be there.
